Homemade summer drinks based on...Wine

The summer And for many the best season of the year. With the sun and the heat the desire for stay outside and to cool off with a trip to the seaside, enjoying an ice cream or, why not, sipping a fresh and thirst-quenching cocktail based on wine and fruit .

Simple but tasty cocktails, which can also be made at home without being a professional barmen.

Few ingredients, a pinch of imagination and still wine: the results will surprise you!!.

WATERMELON PEPPER

  • 1 LIME
  • 3 BASIL LEAVES (OR MINT)
  • 3 SLICES OF WATERMELON
  • SOME PINK PEPPERGRAINS
  • 5 CL OF SEMIA (PINOT BIANCO AND GRIGIO)

The summer cocktail par excellence, the Watermelon Pepper is made in a very simple way. Just puree the ingredients, add SEMIA wine, a few ice cubes and enjoy!

WHITE SPRITZ

  • 1 LEMON
  • 1 SPLASH OF SODA (or SODA)
  • 1 CL OF LEMON JUICE
  • ICE CUBES to taste
  • 6 CL OF EVAN (PINOT BIANCO AND MANZONI BIANCO)

Perhaps it is the oldest long drink, born at the end of the 19th century at the hands of Austrian soldiers, stationed in the Kingdom of Lombardy-Veneto, who used to dilute Venetian wines (perceived by them as too alcoholic) with sparkling water. Certainly, Spritz, in its thousand variations, is currently the most drunk drink in Italy.

FIG WINE

  • 1 LIME
  • 3 MINT LEAVES
  • HALF FRESH FIG
  • SHREDDED OR CRUSHED ICE
  • 5 CL OF DROP (CHARDONNAY)

The freshness of white wine and the sweetness of figs, which are at their best between July and September: these are the main characteristics of Vino Fico, the cocktail that celebrates one of the sweetest fruits of summer.

To prepare it, you need to crush together the lime cut into pieces, the mint leaves and the fresh fig, to which you then add the flaked ice, 2 cl of soda and 4/5 cl of Goccia.

SANGRIA

  • 1 BOTTLE OF FLAME (MERLOT)
  • 3 CL OF BRANDY
  • 2 PEACHES
  • 5 ORANGES
  • 2 APPLES
  • 1 CINNAMON STICK
  • 40 GR OF CANE SUGAR

First, you need to squeeze the oranges to extract the juice and pour it into a large container. Cut the fruit into pieces and add it to the orange juice, with the cinnamon stick, sugar, brandy and finally the wine.
Leave to macerate for at least 5-6 hours in the refrigerator. Serve in glasses with ice cubes and a teaspoon for fruit.

CROVINO

  • 6 CL OF LAND (VIOLONE & SANGIOVESE))
  • 3 CL OF ORANGE JUICE
  • 1.5 CL OF GRANATINE SYRUP
  • ICE CUBES to taste
  • 1 SLICE OF ORANGE TO DECORATE

The preparation of Crovino is very simple: fill a shaker with ice cubes and pour in the red wine, orange juice and grenadine syrup. Shake the shaker well to mix the ingredients. Then filter the contents of the shaker into an old-fashioned glass with other ice cubes. Finally decorate the glass with a slice of orange. Your Crovino is ready to taste!!

CANAJITO

  • 1 LIME
  • 3 MINT LEAVES
  • 2 TEASPOONS OF CANE SUGAR
  • 1 SPLASH OF SODA (OR SODA WATER)
  • ICE CUBES to taste
  • 3 CL OF WHITE RUM
  • 3 CL OF THESAN (BLACK CANAIOLO)

For Mojito lovers who want to try something new, there is the Canajito, a drink that combines the freshness and summer notes of the mint, lime and rum-based drink with our Canaiolo Nero. To prepare it, simply follow the traditional recipe however using 3 cl of White Rum and 3 cl of THESAN as the alcoholic part, aged in wood and with a fruity aroma. To be served in a tall or short tumbler, as for the classic Mojito, depending on your preferences.

Whether it is white or red, wine is always the undisputed protagonist of these summer drinks. You can experiment with other ingredients and create your own version. The important thing is to have fun and toast with the people you love!
